On 28th of February 2019 in the town of Malko Tarnovo was held information meeting in the frames of the project “Marine and river litter elimination new approach”, BSB 139, MARLENA.
Topic: Local and regional politics and initiatives for cooperation for reducing river and marine litter in the Black Sea region.
The focus of the information meeting was the elimination of pollution in the rivers and the protection of the cleanliness in the protected areas of Strandzha Nature park. Local good practices in the municipality of Malko Tarnovo, cross-border and transnational initiatives to reduce waste in the Black Sea basin were presented during the meeting. The main topic of the meeting were also new practices and tools to attract young people and the public to participate in clean-up campaigns and increase their commitment to cleaner waters and forests in the region of Strandzha and Black Sea.
