FLAG Galati, PP3 participated with local stakeholders, representatives of the Cross-Border Cooperation Association of the Lower Danube Euroregion, the Environmental Guard, the Galati Commissariat and the South-East Regional Infrastructure Department at a Round Table debate organized in Odessa, Ukraine. by the Ukrainian Partner of the IMPEER project.

During the event, the representatives of the Romanian delegation analyzed aspects related to the different types of pollution (water, soil, and air) in the context in which both soil and air pollution affect the water quality through groundwater. At the same time, the potential of riverine fleets and the proposed solutions for the efficient management of ship waste were analyzed. It can be seen from the analysis that there are no legal regulations regarding waste management for inland, river waters.

Another aspect proposed to the attention of the audience by the Romanian delegation was the waste management system proposed by Galati County in 2019 and the analysis of the legislative context in which this system will be implemented.

Also, were presented the financings attracted for the south-east region for waste management systems both in the financial year 2007-2013 and in the financial year 2014-2020.
